A sixth bookcase full of books

OK, was going to wait a bit, but changed my mind when I had a bit of spare time earlier today to take these pictures.  Again, this bookcase, like the one I posted about before, is in a very dark part of its room, so the flash had to be used for these pictures.  Thankfully, most of the titles are legible.

Most of the books pictured here were a gift to me a little over a year ago.  Reviewed some, need to get around to reviewing others in the near future.

(more after jump)

Beckett next to Ellis...with a Predator book besides it.  Would he be waiting for Godot, or just hightailing it out of there?

Mojo and Moorcock...Freudian slip of book shelving?

There's something amusing about having a Cormac McCarthy book next to a Brandon Sanderson trilogy....what could it be?

Jeff Ford, Thomas Pynchon, Haruki Murakami, Ludovico Ariosto - which of these four is most different from the others?

Art, or graphic art?  The Sparrow series is awesome, by the way.

Amazing that the shelves aren't bending under the weight of the Stephenson tomes...

John Barth or Tom Disch?  Which one is The Inferior and which one is Softspoken?  Or is one more of a Thunderer or The Last Cavalier?  Perhaps they meet up in The Chess Garden, watching out for Black Blossom or fearing Chaos if Worshipping Small Gods were to fail to help, with their Gears of the City in reserve.  Or something like that.

There's a bad joke to be made about these titles, but I'll leave it up to your imaginations to puzzle out what joke(s) could be made.

One of the more "international" fiction pictures, with Russians, Japanese, and Chinese fictions somehow coexisting with the Italian and British ones next to them.

Zweig, Hugo, Delany, oh my!

I wonder how many had Borges next to a Halo book in their book betting brackets?

Naked Lunch and Dead Souls...yummy!

That big whitish blur are just a bunch of Oxford World's Classics, including Catullus and Browning, among several others.  Oh, and the Venerable Bede.  Can't forget that chronicler, right?

Both of them are obsessed with a world of ashes?
